Bundle Up For Nicholas K

Drawing inspiration for their Fall/Winter2013 collection from the Arctic explorations of the late 19th to early 20th century, sibling design duo Nicholas and Christopher Kunz of Nicholas K proved that unique layering options are a must for 2013’s colder months.

While Manhattan’s streets may not be as harsh as the unforgiving polar elements that explorers faced trekking to the North Pole—though February’s current storm may have you thinking differently—looking chic while staying warm amidst chilled afternoons is always necessary, regardless of where your current location may be. And, thanks to Nicholas K this task just got a little easier.

Pulling from the cold sceneries and the warm wears of the adventurers and Inuit natives, a flurry of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear designs walked the runway in shades and shapes reminiscent of the blistering conditions of the northern realm. The greys, whites and blacks were anything but drab, mixed with natural hues of brown, green and blue in carefully tailored coats as well as draped dresses and hooded capes.

See for yourself in the gallery below of some of the looks captured right from the runway.
