ColourPop: Weekend Warrior Palette

AS-palette_grandeSince its founding in 2014, ColourPop has steadily gained publicity from the beauty community on YouTube and social media. The company is known for its beauty products that pack a pigmented punch and for collaborations with well-known beauty gurus. One of these collaborations is with YouTuber and social media icon Amanda Steele. Amanda Steele, though only 18 years old, has created a beauty empire on YouTube and other platforms and now has her very own ColourPop palette. Thus, the Weekend Warrior palette was created. The palette has a cool toned, edgy theme with bolder teal and dark purple shades. The four shades are named Throttle, a pale shimmery pink; Harley, a matte cool grey; Burnout, a matte dark teal; and Chopper, a matte purple.

This Weekend Warrior palette does not disappoint. The colors are buttery and easy to blend. ColourPop’s eyeshadows are known for their pigment, consistency and blendability and these shadows follow through.AmandaSteeleWW_grande

Amanda Steele has also collaborated with ColourPop for several liquid lipsticks and eyeshadows. Other collaborators include Kathleen Lights, Sonya Esman, Alexis Ren and Karrueche Tran.

ColourPop is only sold through its website (https://colourpop.com/). Another way to receive ColourPop products is through the monthly beauty bag service, Ipsy. Started by famous beauty blogger Michelle Phan, Ipsy collaborates with ColourPop and many other high end and indie brands to deliver beauty products right to your home for only $10 per month.

After liquid lipsticks became such a popular makeup trend, names like Kat Von D and Anastasia Beverly Hills came to the forefront for their long lasting liquid lips. ColourPop, however, rose above when they perfected their formula for an affordable price. ColourPop’s Ultra Matte liquid lipsticks, Ultra Satin liquid lipsticks, and Ultra Blotted liquid lipsticks are all formulated for different comfort wears and have already become cult classics. While only 3 years old, ColourPop has risen to the top of the beauty game and it can be expected to do better and better.
