Michael Kors Makes Technology Accessible
As Baselworld reaches its final days, truly extraordinary timepieces have been debuted. From Hublot to Ulysse Nardin, all of these brand-new pieces are stunning; but there is one collection that has everyone’s head turning: the all-new Access timepieces by Michael Kors.
“I’m in the business of making people’s lives easier through fashion,” says fashion mogul Michael Kors in a press release. “I thought, ‘Why can’t tech accessories be chic and glamorous?’ You wear them everyday.”
The recently unveiled timepieces are just that: chic and glamorous, but offers wearers more than just a fashionable accessory. The Access collection makes technology easily accessible to those who wear the pieces—hence the collection’s name.
“After all, technology is impacting life more and more,” Kors continued to say in the press release. “It should reflect your personal taste as much as anything else, but it should also give you access to all the experiences you want.”
The Access timepieces are fashioned with Android Wear, a highly advanced technology developed by Google, and allows the watches to be compatible for both Android and iPhone users. With this technology, wearers of the collection will be able to access a plethora of tech additives. This includes social media, text, email, app notifications, fitness tracking, as well as voice activated and smart help provided by Google.
Two versions of the Access will be made available to consumers: one geared towards men and one geared towards women. The men’s timepiece showcases a sportier-edge with black settings, while the women’s timepiece bestows flashy gold settings. Users can also access each tech feature by swiping the face.
The Access collection will begin selling this fall at all Michael Kors stores and will sell at $395. To learn more about the collection, visit www.michaelkors.com.
