The FCA’s 50th Anniversary Celebration
The commemorative Ferrari 599GTB-HGTE cruised into the showroom at Ferrari Maserati of Central New Jersey to the acclaim of the more than 300 guests in attendance at the April 21 celebration. Specially designed in honor of the Ferrari Club of America’s (FCA) 50th Anniversary, the Ferrari Relay car—embossed with a poignant American flag, unique paint scheme and custom graphics representing the 50-year history of the FCA—served as a prominent draw for guests who clamored to get close to the very last North American specification 599 on its journey from Milan and across North America.
Guests, among whom included Ferrari Club members, Ferrari owners, Ronald McDonald House board members and luxury brand representatives from Van Cleef and Arpels, Chanel and the like, enjoyed a delectable brunch, sparkling cocktails, Camus Cognac and a slice of custom-made cake from Carlo’s Bakery as they mingled amongst the luxury Ferrari’s on display. Outside, crowds assembled around a number of additional allures that included tastings of Auchentoshan scotch whiskey, hand-rolled cigars courtesy of JR Cigars, a swing on Sweet Wood Golf’s putting green and an up-close look at a dream-worthy, $30,000 outdoor kitchen provided in partnership by JM Lifestyles and Sub-Zero that was later raffled off to a lucky recipient.
The main point of convergence for the event, however, was raising donations and awareness for The Ronald McDonald Houses of Long Branch and New Brunswick, which continue to provide a true “home away from home” for families of seriously ill children receiving care at medical facilities near their locations. Those in attendance generously participated in lavish raffle opportunities that awarded them the chance to walk away with a number of coveted products, services and experiences from contributors that included Giorgio Armani, Robert Graham, Ross-Simons, Van Cleef and Arpel, California Closets, Vineyard Vines, Pirelli Tires and Oyster Point.
“The proceeds will help to cover the cost for families staying in our New Brunswick House while their children are undergoing medical treatment. But long after the costs are covered we will all remember the wonderful effort that was undertaken on behalf our families,” expressed Lynne J. Siedentop, Director of Development at the Ronald McDonald House following the event.
Those who kindly donated, but did not leave as raffle winners, still walked away with luxury swag bags that included contributions from Sal Lauretta for Men, DePasquale The Spa, Borgata, Aires Jewelers and many more.
