The New 911 Series from Porsche
The start of a new year always brings about new releases in the major car manufacturers. The latest innovations to hit the market are coming from Porsche, specifically to their coveted 911 series. Porsche has undeniably provided its customers with top-of-the-line enhancements with their new series, and will definitely not disappoint.
After the first 911 Porsche was released nearly 50 years ago, the car company is revamping the style. The 911’s product director, August Achleitner, said in a press release, “It became clear how much the customers liked the 911—back then, they were the real driving force behind its continuing existence. If we compare that situation with today, we also see some key external and internal factors. External influences such as feedback from journalists in the industry, feedback from customers, some of our competitors, and regulatory aspects play a role. With close consideration of internal topics from our preliminary development and also from other model series, we are creating a catalogue for the next generation of the 911. That is what we might call the composition.”
The new series enhances the design and power driving dynamics of the 911. Firstly, all cars in the new series will be equipped with Porsche’s new headlight innovation. This feature will increase the safety of the car for drivers at night because the headlights rotate with the angle of the vehicle when turning. They have also fashioned the headlights with LED technology that will help increase the capability of vision for the driver. Perhaps one of the most stylistic changes to the 911 series is the fact that Porsche has made the vehicle appear more “sporty” than past editions. While the front end is equipped with LED lights, the rear of the car is sleek with three-dimensional taillights, a dual exhaust and a grill that is perfectly positioned right underneath the rear window.
The inside workings of the new 911s are fully equipped with a twin-turbo engine to live up to the new sleek and sportier overall design. Utilizing this type of engine will provide that extra punch of power. The new series also provides drivers with more torque, high revving and less consumption.
Other additions to the 911 series is the all-new rear axle steering, Porsche Active Suspension Management that “regulates the damper force for each wheel according to the road surface condition and driving style,” a real-time navigation system and other high-tech additives.
If you’re located in the New Jersey/New York metropolitan area, you can view and test drive the brand-new 911 series at Jack Daniels Porsche in Upper Saddle River, NJ. Jack Daniels Porsche has one of the largest showrooms in the U.S. While you’re there, you can also reserve your spot to purchase the all-new 2017 911 Carrera and Carrera S, which are set to debut at the dealership this month.
