Dubai has gone and done it again to prove that it is the top destination for all things luxury. The city’s newest endeavor, the Aqua Pod, targets those who find themselves spending the day out in the water. Instead of having to come ashore for lunch or dinner, the Aqua Pod will serve up and deliver food to you without having to pull up your anchors.

floating_restaurant_baseThe floating food truck concept was developed by Ahmed Youssef, founder of Aquatic Architects Design Studios. How does Aqua Pod work? The idea is simple. The floating food truck has two options for customers: you can either pull up directly to the truck and order your food like you would at a drive through or a waiter will be dispatched to your yacht when you’re ready to place your order. It’s as easy as that!

While the concept is only being launched in certain areas at first (Jumeirah, Al Sufouh and Kite Beach), we can see the Aqua Pod becoming wildly popular throughout the entire city. According to Aquatic Architects Design Studio, Aqua Pod and the company itself “sets high standards for floating developments with its unique sustainable features,” which means that its functional and practical.

Aqua Pod launched last month, and we can’t wait to see where the future takes it. For more information about this endeavor, visit aa-ds.com.
