Created to mirror the Concours d’Elegance of Pebble Beach, the event brought in guests of all ages, including concourse enthusiasts, celebrities and the most influential, high-net worth individuals in the New York metropolitan area. Those who attended experienced first-hand the magnitude of this extraordinary opportunity: proceeds from registration fees, live auctions and donations went directly to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through The Eric Trump Foundation.
Upon entering the event, guests admired an overwhelming selection of exotic cars that were parked along the perfectly manicured lawn. Those who submitted their luxury auto for display were judged and awarded according to concourse rules, and presented with trophies for Best in Show.
Following the display, guests were welcomed at the step and repeat by host Joumana Kidd of NET TV’s Women on Women. She also interviewed celebrity guests Jonathan Cheban of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Nicole Napolitano, Bobby Ciasulli and Teresa and Rino Aprea. Special appearances were also made by CEO and Founder of The Eric Trump Foundation, Eric Trump, his fiance, Lara Yunaska and his father, Donald Trump.
Sponsors of the Concourse For The Kids included presenting sponsor Tiffany & Co. of Short Hills as well as Grey Goose, Camper & Nicholsons International, Aston Martin of Summit | Short Hills, Ferrari Club of America—Penn-Jersey Region, Maserati of Morris County, California Closets, Bang & Olufsen, SeaNet, and LuxuryDayCharters.com.
Each sponsor held a station promoting their highly esteemed brands. Guests joined Tiffany & Co. for their “Keys for a Cause,” a successful, nation-wide fundraiser where attendees could purchase a key in the hopes of unlocking one of five Tiffany vitrines. When unlocked, the winning guest picked out a selected piece of Tiffany’s jewelry valued from $5,000 to $8,000 to take home with them. The first 100 guests who purchased a key also received a Tiffany gift.
Guests also participated in Aston Martin’s golf shoot out, where they submitted their names into a raffle. This led to four names drawn out to partake in a hole-in-one competition and a chance to win an Aston Martin vehicle valued up to $150,000—donated by Aston Martin of Summit | Short Hills. The hole-in-one competition took place on one of Trump National’s two golf courses: The first, The Old Course, is the perfect place to hold a golf tournament and the second, the New Course, stands proudly as one of the finest in the world.
While guests enjoyed the gorgeous weather, they were able to sample Grey Goose’s newly launched product, Grey Goose VX —which includes a hint of cognac—while being entertained by New Jersey’s #1, 12-piece live band, The Infernos. The event also featured a lively kids area, equipped with a bouncy house and trampoline. The adults enjoyed food row, hor d’oeuvres served by the pool and a man cave containing an open bar, pizza and cigars.
Eric Trump addressed the crowd and spoke whole-heartedly about what The Eric Trump Foundation means to him as well as instilling the importance of continuously donating to St. Jude. He announced that this year alone, the foundation will donate $4 million to St. Jude, contributing to research, equipment and ultimately to cure the diseases for these children. As his speech brought everyone together, the live auction began, and included once-in-a-lifetime experiences from a Derek Jeter meet-and-greet and an Italy excursion to owning a Domingo Zapata-original painting.
After an eventful day, guests exited the golf course with their very own luxury swag bag filled with goodies from Thomas Pink, Bang & Olufsen, The Art of Shaving, and many more must-have, lavish items.
Concourse for the Kids was a tremendous success and a positive experience–truly an event that embodied both a spirit of luxury and a commitment to giving. Keep your eyes open for the next year’s date as HudsonMOD will continue to build upon this wonderful, elite engagement.
