HudsonMOD‘s Harvest on the Hudson charity benefit at Michael Anthony’s Restaurant in Jersey City achieved a tremendous turnout of supporters for No Kid Hungry, a national foundation dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America. A picture-perfect Thursday night on the Hudson River’s waterfront and breathtaking views of Manhattan’s skyline served as the quinnessential backdrop for the evening’s celebration.

The 200 attendees—Bravo stars Richie, Kathy and Victoria Wakile of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and Amy Poliakoff of the Gallery Girls among them—enjoyed five specialty, autumn-inspired cocktails and a menu prepared by Michael Anthony’s star chef, Bryan Gregg. Music provided by Legendary DJ’s escaped the restaurant’s elevated perch and blended seamlessly with the chic crowd below. Also on display throughout the night were luxury vehicles, courtesy of Benzel Busch and Audi Meadowlands; models draped in exquisite furs by Schultz’s Furriers of Millburn; the always-popular Ecru Braid Bar; Bee Raw Honey tastings and Shine by Collé products.

The party also extended beyond the restaurant where guests were welcomed aboard two luxury cruisers, courtesy of Westchester Yacht Sales, to explore the ships’ decorative, ultra modern interiors. Offered at the event were exclusive raffles that included a two-night stay to One Bal Harbour, a black and gray monogrammed Michael Kors tote, an ultra luxe Burberry Mink Scarf and an autographed copy of Rocco DiSpirito’s latest cookbook. By the end of the night each was excitedly claimed by a few lucky guests.

Shannon Steitz, HudsonMOD‘s Publisher, gave an appreciative speech to the event’s sponsors and guests offering her thanks for the collaborative effort on all parts to support No Kid Hungry, an organization dear to her heart.  Editor in Chief, Richard Pérez-Feria, also took time to thank the event’s supporters and announce the meaning of HudsonMOD‘s new motto, “Luxury Comes Home” which exemplifies the publications determination to provide New Jersey with the magazine it deserves.

As 2013 approaches, everyone at HudsonMOD is thrilled to celebrate the end of the year through upcoming events and the awaited release of the Winter issue that arrives in homes in late November.
