Fresh off the excitement of the iHeartRadio Music Festival, Las Vegas is once again gearing up to play host to a hearty amount of high-class performers. On October 26 and 27, Sin City will be the premier destination for some guilty pleasure, as the Life is Beautiful (L.I.B.) Festival is bringing together the best in food, art and music. Festival lovers and fans of all types rejoice!
While you may have heard of festivals such as Manchester, Tennessee’s Bonnaroo or Burning Man out in the Black Rock Desert and thought to yourself that slogging it out in the boonies is not for me, rest assured that the L.I.B. festival is designed to feel like a large-scale event, but with a modern approach to the festival experience. Set on 15 city blocks in historic Downtown Las Vegas, the inaugural L.I.B. is expecting to attract tens of thousands of out-of-towners who will experience the best of the city’s star-studded chefs, world-class theatrical performances, speakers, emerging artwork and so much more.
Where to begin? Let’s start with the music. For the first-ever L.I.B. festival, the stage will be rocked by some old names and many new faces topping the charts. Some notables include The Killers, Kings of Leon and Beck, with fresh emerging groups like Imagine Dragons, Capital Cities and Janelle Monae leading a pulse-pounding lineup. Over the course of two days, the festival will feature over 50 internationally renowned and emerging performers on four stages.
If the band list isn’t enough to give you your fill, the festival has recruited the minds of 12 top chefs to act as culinary advisory board for the full-scale food portion of L.I.B. The internationally recognized foodie microcosm of the strip will be out in full-force and featured in demonstrations, intimate dining, a beer, wine and spirits garden and large-scale Moroccan-style bazaar with stations manned by over 60 chefs, mixologists and vintners. Attendees will get the chance to engage with talented chefs up close and learn valuable insight into their creative process in the kitchen and beyond.
As a complement to the music and food portions, L.I.B. will also feature Learning is Beautiful, a speaker series of critically acclaimed guest speakers. Over 25 speakers will share their road to success stories while highlighting the experiences and trade secrets they accumulated along the way. The Art is Beautiful section will also play host to Downtown Las Vegas’ progressive art scene that is invigorating the city from the ground up. In addition to the street art, installations and murals, the strip’s most inspiring performance artists—Cirque du Soleil—will present an act from the highly anticipated immersive musical experience, Michael Jackson ONE as well as six unique performances from the other resident Cirque du Soleil productions on the main festival stage and throughout.
The only way to do L.I.B. is through two-day VIP tickets, which include exclusive lounges, special access to food, beer, wine and spirits concessions and, lest we forget, viewing areas for the stages. With so much to be thankful for, the Life is Beautiful Festival is the perfect way to celebrate all the great things life has to offer!
