On June 14, the world will watch the first game of the FIFA World Cup kick off to a grand start. Since the 2010 Brazil World Cup, luxury brand Louis Vuitton has partnered with FIFA to commemorate the international event. This year, Louis Vuitton launched the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Official Licensed Product Collection, one that any soccer fan must add to his/her repertoire.
The collection is comprised of seven items, all ranging in sizes to suit the customer’s preferred style. Items include: the brazza wallet, keepall bandouliere, pochette jour GM, slender wallet, pocket organizer, name tag and Apollo backpack. Each item is monogrammed with the brand’s iconic ‘L.V.’ initials, which are, according to the company, “placed like a team badge” in the center of each accessory. Each piece also has a unique Russia 2018 FIFA tag on the inside to further showcase the limited-edition collection.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Official Licensed Product Collection’s design is second-to-none. Louis Vuitton’s items boast a sporty visage that is fashioned with grained Epi leather. With varying base colors such as black, blue and red, white hexagons are placed in a specific pattern across each item, emulating the look and feel of a soccer ball.
To add a more personal touch to the accessory, customers can personalize Louis Vuitton’s name tag. One side will showcase the brand’s “team monogrammed logo” while the other side boasts the flag of your country. Flag selections include Argentina, China, England, Portugal, Russia, Japan, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Spain, the United States, France and Germany.
The line is currently available for pre-order through Louis Vuitton’s customer service sect, and will officially be launched in-stores and online starting June 14. Prices range from $325-$4,300.
In addition to the commissioned collection, Louis Vuitton also created the FIFA World Cup’s trophy trunk, which will safeguard the iconic award while traveling, as well as a very limited edition trunk collaboration with Adidas.
According to FIFA’s website, only 21 editions of the Adidas trunk collaboration will hit the market and will “hold 13 re-editions of the Official Match balls used at the World Cup since 1970 and one Louis Vuitton specially-designed football.”
