HUDSONMOD welcomes another successful, talented addition to our team as we enter the new year. Joumana Kidd—actress, philanthropist, journalist and, above all else, proud mother—is our newest lifestyle editor, combining her outgoing personality and expertise in the fields of entertainment and life.
While attending San Francisco State University for speech communications, Kidd began her career as a model. Her reporting skills led her to co-host the radio talk show Talking Sports and cover events such as the Grammys and Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame ceremonies.
Kidd has also worked as a correspondent for Extra and NBA TV as well as a relationship specialist on CBS’s Early Show. She crossed over from broadcasting to acting after her film debut in the 2001 Sundance Film Festival movie Whiplash. A part on NBC’s hit drama Third Watch was a catalyst in her becoming a main character on VH1’s Let’s Talk About Pep.
Her advice column “Ask Joumana” deals with family, love and happiness. Going one step further, Kidd’s latest project is her own television show on NET TV, a platform for women to learn, share and examine the daily challenges of the world.
She recently hosted HudsonMOD’s Concourse for the Kids event in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, interviewing celebrity guests Jonathan Cheban, Eric Trump, Lara Yunaska and others.
With her pop-culture background and charming appeal, Kidd’s coverage of 2015 is not to be missed.
