This year, the prominent sparkling wine brand Moet & Chandon celebrated 25 years as the official champagne sponsor for the Golden Globe Awards. As always, the brand was honored with a signature cocktail for the evening. This year’s? The Moet Ruby Red. Crafted by mixologist Karen Grill, she shares her Wizard of Oz-inspired recipe so everyone can drink like an A-lister.

Recipe Ingredients: 3/4 Lemon; 3/4 ounce of Tarragon, Raspberry and Citrus Shrub*; 1 ounce of Vodka; 2 1/2 ounces of Moet & Chandon Brut.

Instructions: Pour first three ingredients over ice, then top if off with the champagne and citrus shrub. * To make the Citrus Shrub, bring all of the ingredients below to a simmer on stovetop, and then garnish the drink: 2 cups of raspberry puree, 2 cups of apple cider vinegar, 4 cups of cane sugar, 1 lemon peel and 4 sprigs of tarragon.

Englewood Cliffs made the cut… the American Cut that is. Known for juicy steaks and a contemporary take on classic American menu items, Chef Marc Forgione is taking his Tribeca-based steakhouse across the Hudson in March.

Forgione is the son of the “Godfather of American Cuisine” and the farm-to-table movement starter Larry Forgione; however, he has established quite the name for himself in the industry all on his own by receiving a Michelin star and being dubbed the youngest Iron Chef winner. Last year, Fox News appointed the New York City-based American Cut as the no. 1 steakhouse in the U.S., and it keeps gaining momentum.

With incredibly palatable plates including a tomahawk ribeye chop for two and an American Cut seafood tasting dish, the American Cut restaurant in Englewood Cliffs is on HudsonMOD‘s radar as a must-try.
