Team USA Opening Ceremony Jacket with Heating Technology

Tomorrow, countries all around the globe will celebrate the opening ceremony parade for the 2018 Winter Olympics. The United States will enter the arena in Pyeongchang, South Korea donning fashionable sportswear crafted by fashion mogul Ralph Lauren.

Olympians will stand proudly in their chic brown suede fringe gloves, a navy wool ski hat, USA-inspired bandana and brown suede boots with red laces. However, the accessory that will have the crowd talking is the Olympian’s jackets that boast a new, state-of-the-art heating technology that keeps players warm throughout the games.

The limited-edition jackets have no wires and heat up utilizing a special ink instead. According to the brand in a press release, “the heating system is made from electronic printed conductive inks, printed in the shape of an American flag in carbon and silver ink and bonded to the interior of the jackets. The printed conductive inks are flexible and stretchable, and connect to a batter pack with three settings.”

Along with the creation of the opening ceremony outfits, Ralph Lauren launched an entire Team USA collection, which boasts incredible accessories to represent the USA. Ralph Lauren will also be selling the opening ceremony gloves and shoes online, so you can integrate a piece of history into your winter assemblage.
