The subject of punny tote bags, Instagram pictures with your mother, and now 40-ounce bottles, the original pink drink is receiving the star treatment it deserves for four days at the Rainbow Room in 30 Rockefeller Plaza with the Rosé Bar Pop-Up. The pop-up features rosé cocktails, wines, champagnes, and ciders in addition to rosé-inspired foods.
While sipping on a chilled rosé, guests can snack on The Frisky Oyster, six raw oysters surfaced with a refreshing rosé granita, candied grapefruit, and pink peppercorn. The Champagne Donut Bouquet is another appetizing and extremely photogenic selection, topped with rosé sorbet, champagne icing, and gold dust.
Although White Zinfandel initially sullied the warm-weather wine with guilty pleasure connotations, it’s overcome its origins to become the defining drink of the summer and a cultural icon in its own right. Apart from this event, the Rockefeller Center also offers other options for wine. Morell Wine Bar serves 18 varieties of rosé by the bottle. Rosé mixed as a festive sangria or as the legendary frozen drink of the season, frosé, is not to be missed at the Summer Garden & Bar.
The Rosé Bar Pop-Up will only be offered on July 21, 24, and 28. Reservations can be made by calling (212)-632-5000. Images courtesy of the Rainbow Room.
