Another concocted cocktail is asking luxury lifestylers to put their money where their mouth is and drink up: the Nello Royal. Created by Costin Tarsoaga, who is the bar director at one of Aspen’s newest restaurants called Nello Alpine, the Nello Royal is fit for, well, royals.
Sold for $800, the Nello Royal is perfectly crafted with Grand Marnier Cent Cinquantenaire, demerara sugar, lemons and oranges. The main ingredient, however, is what makes this cocktail stand out from the rest—Louis XIII Cognac by Rémy Martin, which retails for about $3,000 per bottle.
According to the cognac’s website, “Louis XIII is a cognac like no other. Since its inception, the know-how and vision of four generations of Cellar Masters dedicated to selecting, blending and ageing the most extraordinary eaux-de-vies have contributed to perpetuate the pursuit of excellence and the transmission of such timeless treasure.”

Orange Peel for garnish
